Product Description

From the Publisher:

In this thoroughly researched and documented book, the #1 New York Times bestselling co-author of Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry explains why the extreme leftism of an Obama presidency would leave the United States weakened, diminished and divided, why Obama must be defeated—and how he can be.

THE OBAMA NATION Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality

Barack Obama stepped onto the national political stage when the then-Illinois State senator addressed the 2004 Democratic National Convention. Soon after Obama was elected to the U.S. Senate, author Jerome Corsi began researching Obama's personal and political background.

Scrupulously sourced with more than 600 footnotes, THE OBAMA NATION is the result of that research. By tracing Obama's career and influences from his early years in Hawaii and Indonesia, the beginnings of his political career in Chicago, his voting record in the Illinois legislature, his religious training and his adoption of Christianity through to his recent involvement in Kenyan politics, his political advisors and fundraising associates and his meteoric campaign for president, Jerome Corsi shows that an Obama presidency would, in his words, be “a repeat of the failed extremist politics that have characterized and plagued Democratic Party politics since the late 1960s.”

In this stunning and comprehensive new book, the reader will learn about: -Obama's extensive connections with Islam and radical politics, from his father and step-father's Islamic backgrounds, to his Communist and socialist mentors in Hawaii and Chicago, to his long-term and close associations with former Weather Underground heroes William Ayers and Bernadette Dohrn—associations much closer than heretofore revealed by the press
-Barack and Michelle's 20-year-long religious affiliation with the black-liberation theology of former Trinity United Church of Christ Reverend Jeremiah Wright, whose sermons have always been steeped in a rage first expressed by Franz Fanon , Stokely Carmichael and Malcolm X, a rage that Corsi shows has deep meaning for Obama
-Obama's continuing connections with Kenya, the homeland of his father, through his support for the candidacy of Raila Odinga, the radical socialist presidential contender who came to power amid Islamist violence and church burnings
-Obama's involvement in the slum-landlord empire of the Chicago political fixer Tony Rezko, who helped to bankroll Obama's initial campaigns and to purchase of Barack and Michelle's dream-home property.
-the background and techniques of the Obama campaign's cult of personality, including the derivation of the words “hope” and change”
-Obama's far-left domestic policy, his controversial votes on abortion, his history of opposition to the Second Amendment, his determination to raise capital-gains taxes, his impractical plan to achieve universal health care, and his radical plan to tax Americans to fund a global-poverty-reduction program
-Obama's naïve, anti-war, anti-nuclear foreign-policy, predicated on the reduction of the military, the eradication of nuclear weapons and an overconfidence in the power of his personality, as if belief in change alone could somehow transform international politics, achieve nuclear-weapons disarmament and withdrawal from Iraq without adverse consequences, for us, for the Iraqis or for Israel.

Meticulously researched and documented, THE OBAMA NATION is the definitive source for information on why and how Barack Obama must be defeated—not by invective and general attacks, but by detailed arguments that are well-researched and fact-based.

1 out of 5 stars Maybe We Just Don't Get It   August 20, 2010

Jerome Corsi is the single greatest fiction writer on the planet. Nobody can make up a story better than Corsi, he is the master of deception. Even though he will undoubtedly go through countless interviews which refute much of what he writes, Jerome Corsi always stands tall against the opposition. The jokes on them though, they still think Corsi writes non-fiction books.

What would an election year be like without a new Jerome Corsi book to get my fictional conservative viewpoint from. Whoever this Obama guy is, he seems like a bad dude. I heard Corsi also wrote this fiction book about John Kerry and a boat that I hear is absolutely riveting.

4 out of 5 stars Now that 2008 has passed, the facts can be checked   August 17, 2010

Very often, especially early on in this book, Jerome Corsi would repeat events and conclusions stated earlier, sometimes only several pages earlier. One might be tempted to say that he wrote the book in uneven intervals. More likely, though, he puts on his "seminar professor" hat to give the reader an unbroken logic chain. Since Corsi does this less as the book progresses, the professor-explanation seems the likely one. This annoyance is easy to forgive in a writer.

The reader will keep in mind that Corsi published his book just after the political party conventions, but just before the TARP crash. That latter event changed the direction of the elections in November drastically in ways obvious to us readers now, but not obvious to the author. Clearly, the book was written to convince "undecided" voters to vote against Barack Obama in November 2008. He therefore had to publish a month or so before the elections. One wonders if he now wished to include the TARP event in his writing. Can't have everything!

Corsi spends considerable time on the life of young Obama, then on the post-college community-organizing Obama. His aim was to show the extent of Barack Obama's leftist slant in early years, and why we would therefore end up with a similar-minded president. Few voters would have believed this before the election. It turns out that Corsi was more correct than not. He treated much of Obama's early life fairly, and indeed with much sympathy. Chapter 8, "The Cult of Personality," inserts the author's idea for the book's subtitle. Most of this chapter filters the cult idea through David Axelrod, Michele Obama, Christopher Blosser, and others. Clearly, the author wants to show the reader how Barack Obama's personality consists largely of influences from the people who are, and have been around him. This is much more than Tennyson's "we are a part of all that we have met" idea. Rather, Corsi's point is that the then-candidate had little more to offer than just the sum of his contacts. An interesting book and easy to read, well worth buying.

I didn't even read this book but, judging by what I read in Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler, I'm sure I know it front to back. The soar losers of the last election are really defaming themselves by trying to spot every pimple on Obama's face. The more they think about "their" loss, the more they look at Obama and want to scream out something that starts with "N" ends with "R" and it's not Nobel Prize Winner. In other words, grow up guys, boys, little children, or whatever you are because I wonder how Harvard feels having one of their graduates printing propaganda like this.

5 out of 5 stars A Warning That Should Have Been Heard.   June 4, 2010

This is the only book on Obama that should be read. People claim it's not accurate yet it's more accurate that Obama's own books. Corsi tried and I applaud him.

5 out of 5 stars So the Republicans didn't win the 2008 election. That doesn't mean this book can't be read.   March 22, 2010

Obama is well into his first term as President of the USA. So, why should we care about Dr. Corsi's pre-election 2008 book? Because it's the cult of personality, created by David Axelrod and pushed along by Communists-in-training, that American fell in love with. The real Obama is ... well... one of the "lucky kids" who attended elite schools all of his life and made very good connections. What Obama struggled with is his father's abandonment and his mother's flakiness. Obama isn't confused about his race - he confused about why his biological mother and father weren't *there* for him!!!! Further, Obama took comfort in radical Islam, Communism, socialism, black liberation theology, and, of course, drugs and alcohol. Obama's involvement with radical, far- left ideologies has left an imprint on who he is.

Corsi's book is well -written and enjoyable. He gives background on Obama's mentors and idols - Saul Alinsky, Tony Rezko, Jeremiah Wright, etc. Knowing who Saul Alinksy was and what he did helps understand why it's frightening that Obama idolizes the man. What's so important about Obama Senior and Kenya? You get that explained, too.

It's never too early for November 2012. Prepare yourself by reading this book (and at clearance/discount prices, you have no excuse not to!!!)
