5 out of 5 stars Great value   August 29, 2010
D. Diamond (Texas)
I bought this at Target a few years ago for about $[...] bucks. It was a good deal then and a better deal at $[...] now. The light is VERY bright and its a solid piece of equipment. One of the advantages this light has over other 160 lumen flashlights is that it takes 3 AAA batteries. When they die, put 3 more in there. Others are either rechargeable, which is great if you only use the flashlight near your home or take odd sized batteries that are expensive. Its tough to beat this deal. I'd take this over a $[...]mag light any day.

1 out of 5 stars ONe-battery cycle   July 31, 2010

This flashlight is terrific - until the first set of batteries fail. You will never replace them because the mechanism surrounding them is too fragile and breaks in several ways during the removal process, making the flashlight permanently inoperable.

4 out of 5 stars alot of light in a small package   July 8, 2010
secret shopper (twin cities)
I saw this light at sears and was going to buy it, but when i checked on amazon.com the price was half what sears was selling it for in store. for the price difference i was willing to wait 2 days to have it shipped from amazon.

I have been using this light for over a month now. i use it almost everyday for 10-15 minutes. the run time is pretty god and i am still on the original batteries. I also took it on a camping trip where i had it running for almost an hour straight. it didn't run hot or anything and it's still as bright as new, but towards the end of the hour i could tell that it started to flicker on/off every once in awhile. The next night it ran fine again. I have also dropped it numerous times on concrete and stuff, everything works fine so this light is very durable. there are only 2 things i don't like about this light. the green/red tailcap seems cool, but it feels really flimsy, so far it hasn't broken or fallen off yet. also you don't wan't to use this flashlight up close. at less than a foot, the light looks like a donut where the middle has no light at all. at farther distances, it blends out so you don't get this effect. Other than that this is a great flashlight. It has become my everday carry light. I would difintely buy this light again.

5 out of 5 stars A Mighty Good Flashlight   June 3, 2010
T. Bruns (Stafford, VA USA)
I own a lot of flashlights. This is one fantastic flashlight; light beam is bright white, strong, and travels a good distance 40-60 yards. The tail cap battery indicator, green and red, works well. This is a nice touch if I am going for a walk in the evening and testing to see if I have enough battery power for 30-60 minute walk. The 3 AAA batteries are cheaper and better alternative to lithium batteries; I use a lot of rechargeable batteries, and these seem to last a very long time in the fashlight. I have owned this flashlight for 4 months, I use it several times a week, and have only changed the batteries once. I bought three more, and threw several of my other flashlights away. The size and reliability of working is excellent for putting in glovebox, briefcase, and my emergency kits.

3 out of 5 stars Dorcy 41-4297 6-Watt K2 LED 3-AAA Battery Indicator Flashlight Review   April 25, 2010
glnlckprt (illinois)
Pros:

Well made for $19.
Battery indicator switch actually works. (Turned red at 3 hours)
Just as bright as Dorcy 41 4269 but only uses 3 aaa batteries.

Cons:

Arrived with a cracked lens. (Amazon fixed the problem)
Beam profile is ugly and not smooth.
Light is dim at 3 hours. Indicator switch is red = 20% battery life left.
160 lumen claim is overstated as it is still not brighter than the Fenix E20 with 109 lumens.
